Canyonlands National Park
Canyonlands was another stop during our time in Moab. We tried to do the Shafer Trail (if you have an able truck - do it!), but with a Jeep rental, we stopped near the Potash Ponds a bit nervous that it would come back in one piece. That said, we did check it out from the top and it was pretty unreal. Even if you don’t do it, you should at least go to the overlook and check it out. Otherwise, with little time (of course), we checked out a few overlooks and went on our way. We do recommend you go all the way to the end to the Grand Overlook. There you will see the White Rim trail (offload trail) - it is about 100 miles and follows the “white rim” (it will be obvious). We can’t wait to do it ourselves.
