Lake Havasu, AZ

Lake Havasu was a quick stop for us on the way to Joshua Tree. We heard of it before, but were pretty curious as to what it was like. Then we arrived. We first scoped out the State Park, which was relatively quiet. Then we headed towards the area under the "London Bridge".  There was far more activity and buzz than we had imagined. Thinking we should take advantage of the moment, we got towels, beer and a float (tie dye of course) and set up shop right next to the boat on a semi sandy shore.

We were only there for about an hour checking out the boat "parade" through the canal, until we were tempted to be on a boat ourselves. So of course, we rented a jet ski. The traffic on the lake was crazy, we fell off once (my hat flew off!) but we were able to see some of the unique shoreline - so it was worth it.

Long story short, if you are in the area, you might want to stop on by. If you are not down for any type of party scene, you might want to try another lake :)
